The Current UK – EU Delivery Delays

After the news about a new strain of Covid, there has been border problems between UK and EU. Meaning that deliveries have also been effected along with travelling.

Now, despite being on holiday during the festive period, I am still taking orders and emails. They are just taking a little longer than usual to process. But since the delivery problems between the UK (where I am based) and the EU, I am reluctantly having to share bad news.

EU Orders Currently Suspended

The borders are now open as of 31st Dec 2020 but delays are expected as many are being processed at the bottle neck. So if you are expecting an order, please be aware that there are delays.

Here is a short statement from The Royal Mail 29th Dec 2020.

Royal Mail and Parcelforce services to Europe have been reopened and are now fully operational. For items posted today, customers should expect a delay of up to 2 working days for some countries.

We’re working with our airline and postal/courier partners across the globe to maintain services, however, delays should be expected. Many countries have implemented special measures to combat the spread of Coronavirus COVID-19, especially for signature service to maintain social distancing. The number of countries we can access is changing daily.

We strongly advise not to send items to destinations listed as ‘On suspension’.

Going Forward

As the country goes into a further lockdown, I am still able to keep my business running since I am online. But to my dropship and deloivery service, they are starting to find their services slowing down to keep themselves safe and keep the services going. So I am being patient when asking for their services to help my business keep going and I ask the same from you.

Please be patient as we all try to keep our services going the best we can. And thank you for being patient during this tough time.

Shouldn’t Be
